Catacomb stores resource content as blobs.

We are working on storing content as external file.

i am using mysql4.

 

i was testing the skunkdav gui doing the uploading and downloading.

does catacomb store file content as blobs? or store the content

elsewhere on disk?

Actually there is the file size limitation due to the limitation of MySQL maximum packet size.

With MySQL 3 ,  the maximum file size is 16M. You need to add this option with mysqld:

--set-variable=max_allowed_packet=16M

 

MYSQL4 support maximum packet size up to 2G.

 

But that doesn't corrupt MySQL data, I believe.

 

Any idea about the MySQL corruption?

i just corrupted my mysql database beyond recovery when i tried to upload

a 19M file and then download it. i had to drop and add all the repos tables.

 

have you ever seen/heard of this?
